Generating Joy is now available
Generating Joy is published, and I've had a big, juicy exhale. This collection of inspirations, practices, and pathways to living with more joy reflects what I've learned: that as I embrace slowing down and savoring simplicity, my projects become infused with joyful intentionality rather than stressful productivity. There comes a time when 'good enough' needs to be embraced, and that time is now.
Find ... A New Response to stress
Many of us are stuck in survival mode, unable to flip the switch from stress to rest. Our Autonomic Nervous System has two parts: the Sympathetic (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) and the Parasympathetic (rest, digest, heal). Instead of getting caught in stress reactions, try a new F word: FIND. Find your breath, find a friend, find a pen. These simple actions help activate balance and offer space for clarity and choice.
Sailing with Stress
No one in their right mind tries to learn how to sail here on the Columbia River in the windsurfing capital of the world. Ok, admittedly, not the wisest move ever.
Here we are ... now what?
Activate the energies within that promote inner joy, peace, harmony and stillness. Fill yourself up so that what you contribute to the world is offered from a place of fullness and overflow.
